Is your knee wall position maximising the space potential?
Often knee walls are automatically positioned at a line that meets standard head heights for the usable floor area.
This should be reconsidered. It is possible to incorporate an entirely new study, recreation, or walk-in robe space without increasing the building footprint.
Although it may not be possible to count the entire space as the usable floor area, the occupants of the home enjoy the benefits. The additional space can not only serve practical applications but also transform the appearance of the room, by making it feel more spacious.
Experience the daylight difference - in a virtual reality
Sometimes it can be difficult to understand the impact of daylight without first seeing its opposite – darkness. Digital technology is making this easier to visualise during the design phase of a project, providing powerful tools for making informed decisions when it comes to daylight design. To experience the difference, scroll down and take a virtual tour.
